Jessica Eden works as a producer, sound recordist and photographer. She has produced content for public media throughout North America, Alaska, the Pacific Islands, the Caribbean and Australia. She has many years experience in digital recording and radio story production.
Jess works intermittently as a field biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service in rural regions of Alaska, the Caribbean, and Pacific Islands. Her biology work primarily focuses on threatened and endangered species. Jessica has also initiated projects to archive Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and Indigenous languages in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
Jessica received her M.A. in Environment and Community studies, with focus on socio-environmental health/resilience and Environmental Radio: Exploring the confluence of people and place.
