Jessica Eden works as a producer, photographer, reporter and sound engineer. She has produced content for public media throughout North America, Alaska, the Pacific Islands, and Australia. She has eighteen years experience in digital recording and radio story production.
Jess works intermittently as a field biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service in rural regions of Alaska, the Caribbean, and Pacific Islands. Her biology work primarily focuses on threatened and endangered species. Jessica has also initiated projects to archive Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) in numerous Native Alaskan and Pacific Islander communities.
Jessica received her M.A. in Environment and Community studies, with focus on collaborative community conservation and Environmental Radio: Exploring the confluence of people and place.
